Jasper Abels

As a Dutch Photographer and Art Director, Jasper Abels started dabbling in photography at an early age. Graduating at the Royal Academy of The Hague, he has shot his way to the top and works with wide range of international clients and fashion magazines.

Nature, for Jasper, is a huge source of inspiration. His farm, ‘De Boederie’ in East Holland is a creative playground where he’s surrounded by animals, forests, meadows and most importantly the space to develop his visionary projects. He calls it his ‘fashion farm’ where various fashion, music and art events take place. Sounds like our kind of place!

Jasper’s works portray a strong personal vision where he seeks to cross boundaries, setting himself apart from other artists. Death, heaven, earth, his love for animals and fairy tales play an important role in his work. His eye for detail and capturing the undefined kind of beauty is a big part of his work. Colorful, minimalistic and elegant, yet with a modern flair. His techniques have resulted in creating unique and highly recognizable images.

For The Rijks, Jasper creates works that mix the old with the new by creating portraits with a modern twist, ready for shipping! His main source of inspiration is a portrait by Daniel Vertangen from the mid-1600’s.

Good luck making those bubbles pop!
