THE STORY BEHIND…

At night, the museum comes to life as the doors close. With her sleek and impeccable gold-dusted figure, it’s hard not to fall for this sculpture turned single lady on the prowl. And she probably doesn’t want to be single after 10 pm…you know…because it’s dark and all. Do you approach her or keep away from her charms? You decide your fate, I’ve picked mine.

Noah Valentyn’s work is influenced by Adam and Eve (1530) sculpture by an unknown artist at the Rijksmuseum. He also uses elements from a cupboard made by Herman Doomer (1635 – 1645).

artist

Noah Valentyn sure does tick all the boxes for all around creative afficionado. An actor, photographer and filmmaker, he has lived in New York and Los Angeles for some time before coming back to Amsterdam. His experience and skills as a photographer took off in New York where he had access to a world of insight and skills inspiring his development. And we’re thrilled to work with him (he is quite dashing!) and have him develop works specifically for The Rijks exhibition!
